Sebastian Popa – Industrial Design

My interest in arts and design was developed since I was a child. At only 10 years old I enrolled at The National College of Arts “Queen Marie” from my hometown, Constanta. There, I attended the Fine Arts Department for 4 years, studying drawing, painting, clay modelling, art history, as well as the other ordinary specialties available at any other ordinary school.

After this, I applied for the Design Department at the same College. Here I came in contact with different concepts, tools and thinking specific to the design discipline. In the same time, the fine arts courses were also attended, since they were part of the compulsory curriculum of the College. This education lasted for another 4 years, graduating in 2007.

Wishing to continue my Arts and Design education, I enrolled at The National University of Arts Bucharest, graduating in 2010 with a BA Product Design Degree.

In 2012 I graduated from the MA Industrial Design Course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design London, a higher education experience consisting of conceptual, commercial, creative, critical design approaches, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and much more, all held at the heart of the Design Community, in London and other cities throughout Europe.

Currently I am doing freelance design for different companies, and I am also experimenting by doing conceptual and critical design.
