Half French, half American, Margaux-Alix grew up in France, Spain and mainly in Switzerland. At the age of 17, she moved to London to study Fashion Photogaphy at the London College of Fashion, followed by Styling at Istituto Marangoni, a BA in Fine Arts (BFA) at the Chelsea College of Art and Design and a Masters Degree in Art Business and Finance at Sotheby’s institute.
In addition, her working portfolio covers rangers of fields from Pin Up photography studio in Paris, Barakat Gallery in London, and Christie’s auction house in Dubai. On her own time, Margaux-Alix worked in collaboration with LAYAK+JAC based in New York; a company which aims to provide a better quality of life through fashion and art. Every purchase donates to non-profit organizations world-wide. Currently, they are involved in supporting Andean families in Peru and the Children’s Art Fund.
Margaux-Alix also worked on participating and curating the Bridges Exhibition in London at the Unit 24 Gallery in collaboration with six other female artists.
Alternatively Margaux-Alix has founded the “Bethlehem Project”, putting together several fundraising photography exhibition in London, raising funds for the reconstruction of the “Bethlehem Orphanage” in Wanathamulla Sri Lanka, selling the outcome of a photo report she did whilst visiting the country.
Margaux-Alix Gardet is currently living and working in London, finishing her Masters Degree and pursuing her career as a practicing artist.
